It is possible to live a life without limits. Step out of the box you’ve been confined to and into the frame of your destiny. Live life abundantly, with purpose and tenacity. Sing your song, let your spirit dance, and let the fresh winds of restoration blow upon your face and into every area of your life. Be revived in your finances, see yourself with more than enough and giving to others out of your abundance. Be made whole.
“All things are possible to him that believes”. How many of you were raised in a home where you were taught in the area of personal finances? And how many of you felt like you were adequately prepared to deal with your own finances when you moved out of your parents home? These are questions I’ve asked participants of financial seminars I’ve taught for over 12 years. If I have a group of 40 people in attendance I might have 2 attendees that respond positively. I have started off most of my personal finance seminars with this survey and over the years I get the same response which tells me when it comes to personal finances most of us did not receive adequate instruction at home to prepare us to manage our own finances. As a result many of us learned how to manage our own personal finances through trial and error. Most schools today have had to make cutbacks on classes that provide personal finance so many high school students today are graduating without education in the area of personal finances. Most people are encouraged to save at one point or another in their lives but many were never taught what to look for in a credit card, auto loan, or mortgage. As a result many families have suffered from not having financial education in the area of home buying, car buying, credit cards and other areas of their personal finances. Many are working two or even three jobs in some cases to pay off the credit cards, cars, student loans and mortgages. Many college students have filed bankruptcy at the end of four years of college because they did not understand the world of credit. Families have had their homes foreclosed because they did not understand how an A.R.M. (adjustable rate mortgage) worked. The purpose of my book "Wealth Building 10 cents at a Time" (Amazon.com) is to bring basic practical understanding in areas of personal finances. What I have also learned in working with many people over the years in the area of personal finances is that you can do everything right when it comes to your personal finances but if you have bitterness, unforgiveness or hatred in your heart your soul is not prosperous. You will have some measures of success financially but you will not have true prosperity. True prosperity is spirit, soul and body. If you are extremely wealthy and you are dying and there is no cure for the disease you have, it is not money that you need but the ability to access divine healing or a miracle from God.
Your money is a direct extension of you and what you value. If you want to know what is important to you all you have to do is look at your checkbook or debit entries. Whatever you are doing now with your finances you will do more of it when you have more money. I often hear people say when I get more money, a better paying job, a raise I’ll give more, I’ll tithe, but if they are not tithing ten cents off $1.00 chances are they will not tithe $10.00 off of $100.00 or $100.00 off of $1,000.
